Célébration des travailleurs temporaires agricoles latino-américains

Dans le contexte actuel de polarisation croissante autour de la question de l'immigration, le rôle crucial des travailleurs étrangers temporaires fait l’objet d’intenses débats, notamment dans beaucoup de fermes au Québec, dont la Ferme Cadet Roussel, qui emploie des travailleurs agricoles temporaires latino-américains originaires du Guatemala et du Mexique.

Cet été, la Ferme Cadet Roussel, en collaboration avec le Consulat du Mexique à Montréal, accueillera des travailleurs temporaires latino-américains, qui travailleront dans des établissements agricoles partout au Québec le 3 août. Dans un esprit de célébration des échanges interculturels, le festival Concerts de Saint-Grégoire présentera l'ensemble de percussions mexicain de renommée mondiale Tambuco – quatre fois en nomination aux Grammy, notamment pour la chanson-thème du film de James Bond Spectre.

Celebrating Latin-American agricultural workers

In the current context of growing political polarization surrounding immigration, the crucial role of temporary farm workers is a hotly debated topic. Like many farms in Quebec, Ferme Cadet Roussel also employs temporary Latin American farm workers from Guatemala and Mexico.

This summer, Ferme Cadet Roussel, in collaboration with the Consulate of Mexico in Montreal, will welcome more than 250 temporary Latin American farm workers to work on farms across Quebec on August 3rd. As part of a celebration of intercultural exchange, the Festival Concerts de Saint-Grégoire will feature the world-renowned Mexican percussion ensemble Tambuco, a four-time Grammy Award nominee, including for the theme for the film James Bond: Spectrale.
